H.K. Brar is a blockchain, Bitcoin, and cryptocurrency consultant working to uncover new value-generating global blockchain applications. She is the Managing Director at Orbify, a consultancy with special research interests including the application of blockchain constructs within the broader trust economy, the utilization of social proxies of trust in the Internet of Value, and how cryptocurrencies can be used to provide global access to equal wealth generation possibilities. Furthermore, areas of active R&D include smart contracts development (Ethereum) and decentralized applications in furtherance of the Internet of Value & Internet-of-Things (IoT).
She holds a B.A.Sc. in mechanical engineering from the University of Toronto with a specialty in combustion science, a MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University, a MIT Sloan School of Management Executive Certificate in Management & Leadership, and holds certificate designations in blockchain, machine learning, Internet-of-Things, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) via Princeton, Stanford, and MIT. She also holds numerous professional designations including: Project Management Professional (PMP), Prosci Change Management, Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Agilist (SA), and SAFe Practioner (SP).
Throughout her professional career she has worked across various industries in an advisory management role. Irrespective of the industry, she has always been interested in how technologies act to both innovate and enhance.
She has previously lived in Zurich, Switzerland but calls Toronto, Canada home.
